How to extract milk from the fresh coconut

Separate the white meat from the shell. Can use a spoon or coconut scraper.

Method 1

Using a blander

  • To get the milk from the coconut add sufficient quantity of warm water to grated coconut or scraped coconut.
  • Bland it and extract the thick milk with a strainer. Squeeze out the milk in to a bowl.
  • Reserve the grated meat and set aside.
  • Again add more warm water to reserved coconut and extract the second quality of milk.
  • In you need to get further quantity of milk repeat the same steps.

Method 2

Using hand

  • Put the scraped coconut in to bowl.
  • Add sufficient quantity of warm water.
  • Squeeze the coconut meat by hand and Extract the milk.
  • Strain the milk to a bowl.
Bonus…….store coconut milk
  1. You can store coconut milk in the refrigerator for a few days by adding a pinch of salt in it.
  2. If you want to store for more than 2 weeks use an ice cube tray to freeze the extra coconut milk.
  3. Add 1 or2 tablespoons milk per cube and freeze. Take out the cubs and transfer to another container and keep it in the freezer.
  4. Now you have Coconut Cubes for further usage.
