Cassia Cinnamon comes from the Cinnamomum Cassia tree. The name is Cinnamomum aromaticum.
Real Cinnamon comes from inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree. Its particle name is Cinnamon
Cassia grows in China, Vietnam Indonesia. Cinnamon grows in Sri Lanka and Northeast part of India.
The real Cinnamon is much expensive, the Cassia cinnamon is very cheaper. Because Cassia is more likely available in all shops.
Cassia contains a lot of coumarin. Coumarin is a compound found naturally in plants. Large quantities of coumarin can be toxic.
That’s why, Cassia cinnamon not good for our health.
Daily use or the long-term use of this Cinnamon will cause problems like headache, digestive problems and even it’s not healthy for the liver and kidney.
If you take the stick of Cinnamon and Cassia you will just come to know the difference, as you can see the real Cinnamon has many spiral kind of designs inside it. Cassia has a tunnel kind of hole inside it.
Cinnamon is very fragile. It breaks very easily but Cassia is very hard it doesn’t break very easily.
Cinnamon easy to make powder at home but Cassia you can’t make powder at home.
The powder of Cinnamon is light brown in colour while the powder of the Cassia Cinnamon is dark brown in colour.
Cinnamon is much expensive while cassia is very cheap.

Both Ceylon and Cassia are healthy and delicious. But Ceylon cinnamon is better quality and much safer.
